Peak Season:
Marbella has a climate which is mild practically all year round, with the Summers reaching the high 20’s. Flights to Marbella tend to be expensive during the peak of Summer, mainly from June to October.
You’ll also find that attractions are packed and beaches are crammed with tourists escaping for some sunny weather. During the second week of June, Marbella hosts celebrations in honour of San Bernabe, their patron Saint. It’s a fantastic week-long event but you’ll have to book your flights in advance for savings on your flight tickets.
Off Season:
There are a lot fewer tourists during Autumn and Winter, so you’ll have a lot more luck finding cheap flights to Marbella as well as deals on accommodation. Many restaurants do close though due to the locals going away on holiday.
The 5th of January sees the Three Kings Parade which is extremely popular with children. Three kings march through the streets accompanied by cartoon characters throwing sweets to the audience. You’ll have to book earlier to secure deals on your flight tickets during Christmas and New Years as flights to Marbella get more expensive at that time.

If weather is an important factor for your trip to Marbella, use this chart to help with planning. For those seeking warmer temperatures, July is the ideal time of year to visit, when temperatures reach an average of 25.0 C. Travellers hoping to avoid the cold should look outside of January, when temperatures are typically at their lowest (around 12.0 C).
With Marbella being a popular destination for most of the year, you can generally book your flights whenever you decide you want to go on holiday. With that said it’s best to book earlier in advance in order to grab bargains on your flight tickets. January typically offers the cheapest flights to Marbella, and if you’re flexible with your dates you can normally find great deals.

The journey was good on the whole. We had bikes with us so the dedicated oversize luggage lane at PMI was welcome. The flight was great, staff friendly as always. The only thing that lets down the return flight is the immigration at BHX. The separate area used by Jet2 is far too slow, I think we queued there for over an hour compared to generally going straight through or a 5 minute wait with other operators in the main facility at BHX. I know you will say that it's the responsibility of the airport, Home Office etc, but you really need to apply pressure to get this sorted out.
